Thrust 2: Multi-Level Optimal Control
The objective of Thrust Two is to develop a fundamentally new model-based integrative building control paradigm. The projects in this thrust aim to achieve effective coordination among different subsystems, such as lighting, HVAC systems, new materials, and security systems.
Thrust Two efforts are organized into three work packages (WPs):
- Active Chilled Beam Systems for Tropic Buildings
- Modeling, Optimization, Scheduling, and Control of ACMV Systems
- Resource Management
