Human activity sensing and inference

This project aims to develop indoor positioning systems to monitor and analyze human activities in order to forecast energy consumption in the indoor environment. Portable devices such as mobile phones will be used to capture occupant presence and behaviors and to understand human activity patterns and forecast building energy consumption. Both wireless localization algorithms and techniques for human activity sensing will be developed and tested for the indoor positioning system.
