Energy efficient applications for smart buildings

For wireless sensor networks, we developed a robust cubic-based 3D-localization technique particularly tailored for event localization in smart building applications. By adopting cubic-based output and event-triggering mechanisms, the proposed algorithm can reduce the computational complexity, improve output accuracy and reduce power consumption. We have presented our proposed idea and design application and performed the preliminary experiments on the proposed model. Furthermore, experiments have been conducted in which the proposed algorithm was implemented using Crossbow’s set of sensor hardware.
